Get to know the team at Futuro!

He is too humble to say it, but Gavin is the Big Cheese.

After a successful career working on significant infrastructure projects, Gavin established his own business delivering childcare centres across the country for one of Australia's largest childcare operators. Never one to stand still, Gavin turned his attention to the creation of Futuro, a repository for decades of childcare construction experience. 

Futuro brings together three of Gavin's passions; design, sustainability and food. There is a reason that you won't see centres as beautiful as Futuro's anywhere else, it takes time, commitment and a great deal of patience to bring centres this beautiful to life. Every detail of every centre has been critically analysed to ensure that it offers the best possible amenity for children, families and Educators.

If Gavin is the Big Cheese, that makes Megan 2IC to the Big Cheese (she's not so humble). 

Megan started her career practising law, working for large commercial firms in Sydney. From there, Megan moved to the NSW Bar Association where she had the opportunity to work with some of Sydney's brightest legal minds. Megan was approached by a large national childcare operator where she served as a General Manager. At the beginning of 2022 Megan joined Futuro on its exciting journey. 

Megan also holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Governance, which explains the large number of Futuro blog articles dedicated to childcare policy. As a working parent of two children, Megan understands what it's like to juggle work and family commitments. She is passionate about the impact that high quality early childhood education and care can have, and is inspired by the extraordinary commitment she sees from Educators working in the sector every day. 

Adam started his career working for a top-tier professional services firm in France. Prior to joining Futuro, Adam worked for a national long daycare provider advising on acquisitions, financial compliance and strategic business decisions. 

Adam joined the Futuro team in 2024, wholeheartedly embracing our values and committing himself to Futuro's goal of providing high-quality early learning for every member of its learning community.

A man of many talents, Adam speaks French, Arabic and English, making him a very welcome source of homework support. He's the go-to for any Futuro team member with a high schooler struggling through French conjugations.  

Christo is our lovely People and Culture Manager, a person with a knack for making connections. Born in South Africa, Christo's journey has taken him through Botswana and Korea, before landing in sunny Australia. He loves meeting new people and figuring out what makes them tick, always aiming to make their lives a little easier.

Outside of work Christo enjoys reading, restaurant hopping, travelling, and spending quality time with his wife. With his global background and genuine curiosity, Christo is not just a People and Culture Manager – he's a people’s advocate and a world traveler at heart.

With over 15 years experience in the early childhood sector, I have had the privilege of growing through many roles, beginning as a trainee while undertaking my studies, progressing to Centre Manager and ultimately into General Manager within a large organisation. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and bring a strong understanding of both the educational and operational aspects of the early childhood sector. 

I am passionate about people and believe great outcomes are achieved when we work together, recognising and valuing the individual strengths, skills and experiences each person brings to a team. My leadership approach is people-focused, collaborative and centred on supporting teams to feel empowered, connected and successful as a collective. 

I am also a proud mum of three children and married to my husband, Adam. My family is a constant reminder of the important role early childhood plays in shaping children's lives and supporting families. 

I genuinely love what I do and find great joy in coming to work each day. I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children, families and educators, and hope to contribute to creating experiences and environments that make a lasting difference.  

Chloe holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education with Honours. She has over a decade of experience in the early childhood education sector in a range of leadership roles. Most recently, Chloe was a Portfolio Manager for a large national childcare operator. However, this doesn't begin to scrape the surface of Chloe's extensive interests. In her 'spare' time she's learning Arabic, volunteers for a wide range of worthy causes and is raising two young children with her husband, Derek.

Chloe joined Futuro in August 2022, bringing her energy, creative ideas, pragmatism and an open mindset to the work of making Futuro the leading provider of early childhood education and care in the South-West. 

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Social Science, specialising in Child and Community, as well as a Diploma in Children’s Services. With over 17 years of experience across a range of roles in early childhood education. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge, practical experience, and a people-focused approach to her work.

As a mother of two, Michelle knows firsthand the challenges of being a working parent and is passionate about creating supportive, high-quality environments for children, educators, and families alike. 

Michelle joined Futuro to help strengthen operational excellence, nurture a positive team culture, and support the organisation’s mission to be a leading provider of early childhood education and care in the South-West. With her energy, dedication, and hands-on experience, she brings a practical and empathetic approach to making Futuro the best place for children, families, and educators.

Jane is our diligent doer in the finance field, taking ownership of a range of tasks that support the operational team and continually exploring ways to improve quality and efficiency.

Jane began her career as an auditor before expanding her expertise into financial analysis and advisory services. She worked at a Big Four accounting firm in Beijing before moving to Sydney. Prior to joining Futuro in March 2023, Jane spent five years working as a Finance Manager for a start-up in the environmental services industry.

Jane is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Master of Accounting and a Master of Commerce, specialising in Business Management, from Macquarie University.

Outside of work, Jane enjoys reading books on wisdom and the arts, and embracing a second childhood while exploring the world with her young son.

Jess holds a Bachelor of Communications and has almost 10 years of experience across communications, marketing and brand engagement. She is passionate about creating meaningful connections through storytelling, sharing authentic experiences and celebrating the people behind every story. 

At Futuro, Jess leads communications, marketing and community engagement, helping families, educators and the wider community stay connected to the incredible work happening across our services. From campaigns and digital content to sharing everyday moments and milestones, she loves showcasing the people, learning and connections that make Futuro unique. 

Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending quality time with her partner and young son, making the most of family adventures and everyday moments together. 

Brandon is Futuro's Maintenance Manager, working across all services to ensure every centre provides a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children, families and educators. With a hands-on approach and a passion for creating high-quality learning spaces, Brandon plays an important role in maintaining the environments where children learn, play and grow every day. 

From maintaining buildings and outdoor environments to enhancing playgrounds, gardens and learning spaces, no two days are ever the same. Brandon works closely with each centre team to ensure every service remains safe, functional and well-presented, supporting positive experiences for children, families and educators alike. 

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys watching and playing footy and basketball, going camping and spending time outdoors with his dog, Jerry. He takes great pride in knowing that his work contributes to creating environments where children can thrive, families feel confident, and educators have spaces they enjoy working in.
